The O.C. Gossip: Tate Donovan spills the beans about the young O.C. actors!

Not many actors from The O.C. are outspoken about the show or negative about things that happened on set but in a last few years Tate Donovan has expressed his thoughts rather boisterously but also courageously. We provide three particular instances where Tate admits this truth - one from Vulture, another from Parade and lastly one on the very popular Watch What Happens Live show. Check i tall out his below!

Vulture.com's interview with Tate Donovan

"By the time I started to direct, the kids on the show had developed a really bad attitude. They just didn’t want to be doing the show anymore. It was pretty tough; they were very tough to work with. The adults were all fantastic, total pros. But you know how it is with young actors — and I know because I was one of them once. When you achieve a certain amount of success, you want to be doing something else. I mean, one of them turned to me and said, “This show is ruining my film career,” and he had never done a film before. You just can’t help but sort of think that your life and your career are going to go straight up, up, up. So they were very difficult."

Then Parade.com interview - interviewer asking about what Tate said in the vulture interview:

On saying the kids from The O.C. had a “bad attitude” late in the show’s run:

"It’s frustrating because the headline is awful. It’s just like ‘Tate Donovan rips into the cast of The O.C.,’ and I didn’t rip into them at all. The producer of The O.C. sent me all these articles. He was like, ‘Loved it,’ because I guess he wanted to say it, but he never felt as though he could. To me, it’s such ancient history. It’s over 10 years ago. I can’t imagine that it would be sort of risqué or something I shouldn’t talk about."

Now we think the producer he's speaking about is no other than McG but we could be wrong!

Lastly a clip from Watch What Happens Live after show:

Tate Donovan tells us who the biggest diva was on set plus more!

So there you have it. All of this is understandable but its quite brave of Tate to tell the truth regarding the younger actors attitudes. Now that you know this information do you think that it reflects at all in the show? If so any particular season? Thoughts?
